# OpenCouncil

> An AI council. On your call. Talk with agents that bring ideas, challenge decisions and organize next steps. A council of AI agents joins your voice call, decides in real time which agent should speak, talks with the people and with each other, and keeps a living document of ideas, decisions and next steps.

OpenCouncil is a web app for live voice conversations between people and a council of AI agents. You build the council, each agent with its own name, voice and personality, and talk to it in the browser, in Google Meet (paid plans) or on Discord. Slack and Zoom are coming.

## What it does

- **Agents with personality:** Build a council with different voices and points of view.
- **Real-time voice:** Talk naturally in the browser, in Google Meet and on Discord. Slack is coming.
- **Notes that keep up:** Ideas, decisions and next steps in a living document.
- **Turn-taking:** Jev by TypeSafe, the Decision Engine, picks who speaks next in ~370 ms. Agents never talk over people.
- **Bring your own agent:** Hermes Agent, OpenClaw or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint joins the room with its own voice.
- **Example council:** Strategist (finds paths), Critic (questions assumptions), Scribe (organizes and records).
- **Broadcast:** Broadcast a talk, a panel or a stream. OpenCouncil tells the voices apart and works out who's speaking. Your agents translate, explain and take notes while you ask.
- **Open rooms:** Councils their owners opened to everyone. Drop in to listen or join the conversation.
